Truly Haunted

My name is Jeannie and I live in southwest Ohio. Several years ago, I moved into my husband's grandparents' home which was built in 1954. After going through a lot of their old belongings (still stored in the house), we started hearing things - someone playing with toy whistles and violins, doors slamming, cabinets opening and closing, the TV being turned off and the stereo coming on in the middle of the night. We also began seeing things we could not explain. Small items began to disappear only to show up again later. Terrifying lights would appear out of nowhere. Disembodied pieces of conversation will sometimes fill the air. Sometimes a series of loud crashing noises will be heard in the basement but when we run to see what caused the sound, we find nothing has been moved or broken.

Our friends and family members have also experienced what we believe are spirits or ghosts. Some of these people are afraid to come back! Some are afraid to enter the basement.

I have been using this web site to document my experiences and to keep you updated on what's going on in my home.

IMPORTANT NEWS -
In 2008, the activity in our home seemed to stop. We don't know if the haunting is actually over or if the house is simply going through a dormant period. Since there is really nothing new to report, we have quit making updates to the web site. Everything will be left as it is unless the activity in our house picks up again.
