Energy Flashes Video

Often, we will see a darkened room in the house flash with a bluish light. Sometimes the light will be so bright, it will wake us up. We were video taping in the living room one night when the video image on the camcorder went from fairly visible to completely black.

There were no light sources in the room such as a TV or lamp. Everything was dark. Shortly after the video image blacked out completely, we recorded this series of blue flashes in the room. We don't know what causes this.

Nothing we were doing could have caused these flashes. Is it some kind of plasma discharge? We don't know, but after we taped these flashes, the room grew colder and then the video image on our camcorders returned to normal!
