Resurrecting Teddy Ruxpin:
Dorothy Schultz, 2007

I happened to be in a "Salvation Army" store when I spotted an original Teddy Ruxpin peeking out at me
from a toppled over pile of dilapidated stuffed animals. He seemed to perk his head up a little and wink at me ever so slightly as I walked by and so I decided to take pity on poor Teddy Ruxpin, once the prized possession of every 80's child's toy collection, and adopt him as my own. I bought Mister Ruxpin for a mere five dollars and proceeded to bring him back to life, to resurrect him if you will. I had taken a Physical Computing class in graduate school, which I didn't take seriously at the time, but I decided maybe now was the appropriate time to apply that knowledge and thus save poor Teddy's life! So, I proceeded to use my beloved Arduino to allow Teddy to tell his classic bedtime stories once more. However, instead of stories, I decided to make a collection of some of the most memorable presidential speeches throughout history for Teddy to declare to all those youngsters out there. Gee Golly! What a fun time to be alive!
