I
take a walk in the park. At several spots along the walking
trail, I stop to record the sounds of the park. This creates
a sonic map of the walking trail. By listening to the recordings,
a listener should be able to tell where I was. The sounds
replace the need for visual references. The graphic map is
not needed if a user can remember the spot by its unique sound
signature.
Click the red spots on the park map to play each sound
file.
At the bottom of this web page are links to the same
sound files but the sound files have been shuffled and are
no longer in the correct order.
Click the red dots on the bottom image and try to match the
sounds you hear with each sound file indicated on the map
(image #1).
