The Voice of Europe:
Gabriele Schettler & Martin A. Dege, work in progress since 2004

For our art project "the voice of Europe" we are searching for children with their parents from all countries of Europe, who support us. We want to make an electronic picture-book, in which you can hear the children imitating the sounds of 5 animals in their native language.

The electronic picture book constantly grows and we’re still looking for children from several different European countries who would like to contribute to the picture book.

Therefore we need a children's voice of each European country, which imitates the sound of the following 5 animals: cow, sheep, cock, dog and cat ("what's the sound of a cow?").

The children should be between 3 and 10 years old - but can also be older.

For the sound recording we prepare a telephone line with an answering machine. Please call us with your child on the number 0049-561-8045360 and let your child say the sounds of the animals. Please tell us also your native country, the first name and the age of your child (as possible in English).

You can have a look at the chart of countries, whether we still need a voice of the country you live in.
If you know families with children in other European countries which would enjoy to participate in our project, please tell them!

We want to make clear, that this is no commercial business.
Only the voices of the children participate on our art project.
The first names of the children and their age will be published in the closing sequence of the film, but the children can also stay anonymous.

We hope, that many children give their voice for "the voice of Europe".
