Artist Statement
:
Video artist that seeks to portray contemporary society as interlinked with reflective and subjective moments. Art as a vision and a voice – reflex and response moments – frozen time, pieces of mind, spirit and body juxtaposed on a colossal framework of world-mind and world-body. An urban experience of daily humdrum routines that make up life and living, yet also the escape which is art – reality versus the obtuse, the negation of the norm, the portrayal of the blatant and the everyday acts of small weird things. The capturing of coincidentals and also conceptual realities where the artist gets to “play god” and make a reality housed within a framework of a new world – namely video.

art

i paint. it gushes out whenever it pleases the primordial blood of an ancient sock. my veins the thunder trapped by inadequate hands that wish to fly but settle for dashing and sliding, scraping and sensuous slicking. canvas is sex

video becomes wings

inspired by the macabre, the ordinary and the beautiful. little things lost in puddles, eyes stuk in human faces, the clouds, they make me demented i could video them for hours... time passes, life passes... bombs go off... life and death a tightrope beneath the clouds. and we are dancing

would you care to dance?

the dream world and the real, heads coming off, ancient myths and legends, current happenings, the heartbeat of the world...
